After 35 years of marriage, a husband and wife finally went to see a therapist.
The moment they sat down, the wife launched into an absolute tirade. She spent a solid fifteen minutes listing every single grievance from the last three decades—neglect, lack of intimacy, loneliness, feeling unloved, and a massive laundry list of unmet emotional needs.
The therapist listened patiently. Finally, he stood up, walked around his desk, and asked the wife to stand. Without a word, he pulled her close and kissed her long, deeply, and passionately right on the lips, while the husband watched with a raised eyebrow.
Dazed and completely breathless, the wife quietly sank back into her chair in a silent trance.
The therapist turned to the husband and said firmly, “You see? This is exactly what your wife needs at least three times a week. Can you do that?”
The husband thought about it for a second and replied, “Well, I can drop her off here on Mondays and Wednesdays… but on Fridays, I fish.”
