One morning, a teacher decided to ask her class a simple question.
“Children, can anyone tell me something that should never be put in your mouth?”
Hands shot up all around the room.
Little Jack eagerly waved his hand.
“A light bulb!”
The teacher smiled.
“That’s absolutely right, Jack.”
“But can you tell us why?”
Jack shrugged.
“I don’t really know…”
Then he added with complete innocence,
“But I hear my mom tell my dad all the time…”
“‘Turn off the light before you put it in my mouth!'”
The classroom went completely silent.
The teacher blinked.
A few students looked confused…
A few adults would have understood immediately. 😂🤣
