All you need to do is go out and find a girl who is exactly like your mother. Same personality, same style, same attitude. Your mom will instantly love her!”

A few months later, the two friends crossed paths again at the same pub.
The friend eagerly leaned in and asked, “So, tell me! Did you take my advice? Did you find the perfect girl, and more importantly, did your mother finally approve of her?”
Thomas sat down heavily on his stool, a dark, deeply frustrated frown plastered across his face. “Yes, actually, I did. I found the absolute perfect girl. She dressed like my mother, talked like my mother, and even cooked like my mother. You were 100% right—my mother absolutely adored her. They became best friends instantly.”
